Caught this picture in the Street Furniture Forum. I think it is great. It is like they were purposefully arranged by color.
Have you thought about cropping out the street and buildings above to isolate on the boxes? Or maybe possibly shooting this again but either in sunlight or with a flash to fill in the shadows and bring the color out even more.
I posted my own set of "boxes" on the forum, http://www.pbase.com/image/31964603 but they are not nearly as striking as yours.
